Step 5: For example if your USB drive is denoted with F: and the file name is autorun.inf, then to delete the file type F:\del autorun.inf and hit Enter

Delete autorun.inf from the hard drive of your PC

Step 1: Start the PC on safe mode

Step 2: Open Command Prompt

Step 3: Type ‘ cd\ ’ and hit Enter. This will take you to the root directory of C:\

Editing the Registry

Step 1: Click Start – In the search box type ‘ Folder and search options ’ – hit Enter

Step 2: Go to Views . In the ‘ advanced settings ” sections look for a folder name ‘ Hidden files and folders

Step 3: Select radio button with the option ‘ Show hidden files , folders and drives .

Step 4: Go to My Computer. Right click on the drive where the OS is installed and select Open . In most cases it is Drive C.

Step 5: Delete autorun.inf and MS32DLL.dll.vbs or MS32DLL.dll (Use Shift+Del)

Step 6: Click Start -> Type Regedit in the Search box or Run box and hit Enter. The registry will open

Step 7: On the left pane, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> Current Version -> Run . Now delete the entry MS32DLL (Use Delete key on keyboard)

Step 8: Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Internet Explorer -> Main and delete the entry Window Title “ Hacked by Godzilla ”. Close the window

Step 9: Go to Start -> Run -> type gpedit.msc and hit Enter. This will open the group policy editor .

Step 10: Go to User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Turn off Autoplay -> Enabled -> Select All drives and click OK . Close the window.

Step 11: Go to Start -> Run -> Type ‘ msconfig ’ and hit Enter. This will open System ‘ Configuration ’ section

Step 12: Under the ‘Startup’ tab uncheck MS32DLL . Click OK. This will ask for a Restart, but click on Exit Without Restart.

Step 13: Go to ‘ Folder and search options ’. Under View, in the Advanced Settings section , select the option ‘ Don’t show hidden files, folders or drives ’.

Step 14: Click on Apply and OK

Step 15: Empty your Recycle Bin and Restart your computer.

Performing these steps will remove the Autorun.inf and other .DLL virus from your hard drives and reset the System Registry.

Autorun&Autorun.inf and other similar virus programs are a threat to the computer system.
