In late-August, Microsoft made an announcement at the IFA 2018 in Berlin. The tech giant announced that it plans to release a major Windows 10 update in October 2018.

The upcoming Windows 10 update is codenamed as Redstone 5. Microsoft will release this update as Windows 10 version 1809. The update news comes forth a major development from Microsoft, after its Windows 10 update release in April 2018.

New Windows 10 Update = New Features

While details on the upcoming Windows 10 update are still under wraps, some tech buffs are in the know of few features that come with it.

The upcoming Windows 10 update is likely to offer a dark mode for File Explorer. The dark theme brings forth a different picture for users engaged in their File Explorer windows.

You’ll also get a cloud-enabled clipboard with the new update. This way, you can sync the copied item across all Microsoft devices.

Apart from some regular driver and adapter upgrades, Windows 10 gets a new version of the Microsoft Edge in October. In addition, the Xbox Game Mode and Game Bar on your Windows 10 PC will get revamped and improved in the coming months.
