FuboTv Review: Cost, Features, Pros and Cons

Launched in 2015, FuboTV became popular as a sports streaming network. It allowed users to watch sports content in premium quality.
From live matches to global sporting events and more, FuboTV hosted channels such as CBS Sports, BeIN Sports, and Fox Sports, among others.
FuboTV is also a preferred streaming service to watch football (soccer) matches. Today, the service has expanded, adding new channels from not just sports industry but from a variety of entertainment.

In the recent past, FuboTV gained popularity after signing deals with NatGEO, NFL Network, Bravo and other big names in the TV industry.
At the same time, FuboTV faces strong competition from Vue, Hulu, DirectTV NOW and a few other TV streaming services.

There are many factors that make FuboTV the best TV streaming service in the world. From low-priced packages to streaming high-quality, exclusive content, FuboTV has so much to offer its users.

The best part of FuboTV is that it costs you not more than $50 per month. According to its homepage, FuboTV packages start from $35 per month.
You can also sign up on monthly basis, and skip paying for a whole year in advance. The service doesn’t stop you from cancelling the service at any time.
- Popular TV channels made available
Almost every popular TV channel is available on FuboTV. Tie-ups with multinational broadcasting networks and TV giants has made FuboTV fully-loaded with premium TV content.
- Best in compatibility
You can install the FuboTV app on your mobile phone and tablets. It can be used on your smart TV and even on a regular PC.
FuboTV is compatible with a range of devices, such as – Windows, Mac, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and other Android and iOS devices.
- The “lookback” feature
You can never miss a show on FuboTV. There’s the ‘lookback’ viewing feature that allows you to see a TV show or an episode after several hours of it going live.
You can see the “lookback” version of a TV show even after 72 hours of its live broadcast. And, you don’t need to set the service to record the episode, saving disk space and processing power of your device.
- Cloud DVR
A new feature added to FuboTV – CloudDVR – can record your favorite movies and TV shows. This feature could cost you around $10 per month additionally. But, you get over 500 hours of record time with this upgrade.

There are different FuboTV packages for viewers. I tried out the FuboTV Standard package to test the service, and it was impressive.
To begin with, you can sign-up for a free trial of the FuboTV Standard package and enjoy it later by paying $45 per month.
On a brighter side, the FuboTV Standard package first month subscription price has been brought down to $39.99 ($5 cheaper).
The standard package offers live local FOX, CBS, NBC and other regional sports channels. This list of channels under FuboTV Standard package are listed in the section below for FuboTV channels.
There’s also the FuboTV Extra package, where you get Fubo TV’s Standard package channels and some additional regional networks under a price of $49.99 per month (for first month, it is $44.99)

FuboTV Cons
Despite these attractive offers, there are some users that are miffed with FuboTV streaming service. To end this FuboTV review on an honest note, let’s look at some of the biggest FuboTV cons for us –
- Live local channels unavailable
Some ESPN local channels and live sporting events can’t be streamed on FuboTV, and you may miss watching a match programmed within your local area.
- Doesn’t work properly on Chromecast and Roku
FuboTV is still facing some compatibility issues with the latest versions of devices, new browser apps and advanced streaming platforms.
- Limited DVR recordings
Record time is set for 30 hours. You can’t record your TV programming over thirty hours. You need to upgrade after every 30-hour DVR time.
