This is FCI Butner Medium II, the prison where Raphy Pina, husband of Natti Natasha, was transferred
Last Thursday, the producer Raphy Pina, the singer Natti Natasha’s husband, left the Federal Detention Center in Miami and was transferred to the FCI Butner Medium II, a medium-security prison in the county of Granville, North Carolina.
In that prison, according to his defense, he will only remain a few days, since they trust that he will soon be released.
“We hope that he will be released soon by order of the appeals court,” his lawyer, María Domínguez, told the Puerto Rican program ‘Lo Sé Todo’.
The penitentiary center in question, which began operations in 2013, has a prison population of more than 1,450 inmates.
The cells are double, so Raphy Pina would only be living at night with one more inmate.
In addition to attracting attention for its cells and its pavilions, this prison is also known for its correctional activities, its social programs, and for having its own shooting range.
Before entering the Miami Federal Detention Center, Raphy Pina, previously charged with illegal possession of firearms, was held in le Metropolitan Detention Center in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
According to Elisa Beristain, host of the program ‘Chisme No Like’, the director enjoyed great privileges, since not only did he have access to a phone with internet, but he was also allowed to continue working.
