No more tedious device configurations when you arrive at LAN parties or tourneys, as you can pull them from the cloud, and get owning right away.”

The main goal of a Razer Synapse is to help users store and manage Razer hardware configuration, however, at times it might stop working.

The most common reason why your “Razer Synapse has stopped working,” may be the missing or corrupted drivers. Here’s how to fix the problem and get your Razer Synapse working again.

What to do When Razer Synapse Won’t Work on Windows 10?

Many people have reported Razer Synapse is not working in 2018. Below is a step-by-step guide to help repair Razer Synapse.

Method 1: Re-install Razer Devices

The best way to repair Razer Synapse is uninstalling all the Razer devices and re-installing them back again. Here are the steps to do this.

From the official website, download Razer Synapse drivers and install on your PC. Make sure that you’re logged in as an Administrator while installing the drivers.

Open Run by holding on Windows + R -> Type devmgmt.msc -> click Ok.

From the interface window, expand Human Interface Device then click on Keyboards . Also, expand Mice and other pointing devices option.

Now, right click on each Razer device select Uninstall device from the drop-down menu.

If you are using windows 10, go to the search menu and type Apps & Feature then press enter.

Select Razer Synapse and click on Uninstall option.

After completing the above process, unplug all the Razer devices, wait for 3 minutes and plug them back.

Note: After plugging the devices back, windows will install the drivers, and the Razer Synapse should work now.

Method 2: Re-install the Razer Synapse Software

Re-installing the software may also help you fix the issue. To complete this process, follow the below-outlined steps:

  • Press and hold Windows+R to open the Run dialog box. Then type “appwiz.cpl” and press enter.
  • From Programs and Features window, locate Razer Core and Razer Synapse . Right-click and select Uninstall .
  • Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer, and delete all files.
  • Go to C:\ProgramData\Razer, and delete the files.
  • Restart your PC.
  • Press Windows+R and from the Run dialog box, type “devmgmt.msc,” then press enter.
  • Right click on the Razer products, and then select Uninstall device.

Note: Remember to check the box “Delete the driver software for this device.”

  • Unplug all Razer devices from your PC, and plug them back after 3 minutes. Windows will automatically install the drivers.
  • Turn off the antivirus and firewall software.

Note: For successful installation of Razer Synapse, you should install the latest version of  .NET Framework on your PC.

Ideally, when installing the drivers, Razer Synapse should be installed alongside the drivers. And this should help solve the problem of Razer Synapse not working.

Method 3: Update Windows

Windows updates are important to improve the overall functioning, security, and performance of your computer.

It also fixes the bugs and corrupted driver files and this may help you fix the Razer Synapse not working problem. Following are the steps to update your Windows.

  • Go to Control Panel from search menu and then select System and Security.
  • Click on Windows Update option.
  • Click on Check for Updates and let windows find and install if there are any updates.
