Samsung May Launch Android-Based Camera at IFA 2012

The IFA event is a moment for several new mobiles and tablets to be unveiled.Samsung will not sit back so it will launch Android-based camera at this event.

So far there is no news about by when will this smart camera will be available or the price tag that it will carry.

This camera will be dubbed Samsung Galaxy S camera and will work like point and shoot camera of Samsung Galaxy S III. The camera will run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and sport a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED screen.

According to the grapevine, Samsung Galaxy S camera will have a 16-megapixel sensor, the size of which is not known so far. There will be 10x zoom and a pop-out Xenon flash. In terms of design, it will have a curved right side and come in two versions - Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi +3G.

This smart camera features a 10x optical zoom lens, 16 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, 3.5-inch OLED WVGA touchscreen, and Android 2.3. It also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity and supports downloading Android apps via Google Play Store. Nikon also bundles ‘My Picture Town’ app for uploading images directly to its cloud storage.
