Apple has stated that the reason for their release of the iPad Mini was not simply to try to offer a competitor in the category of the tablets such as the Samsung, Kindle, or the Surface. It was because they had so many requests for a tablet that was at a slightly reduced size in order to make gaming conducted more easily.

The iPad has a 10” screen that is great for offering a wonderful layout of graphics for your gaming needs. The iPad Mini has a screen that is just under 8” and still offers a wonderful size for gaming capabilities, but the reduced size will allow an individual to carry their iPad Mini in a single hand so that it leaves their other hand available for a full range in motion for game play. The iPad requires both hands in order to hold the sizeable device which would require an individual to either play with their thumbs, or to connect one of the remote accessories. It may not seem like much, but the fact that the iPad Mini offers all of the aspects of the iPad that you love but at a reduced size is quite beneficial to the serious gamers.
The iPad Mini still offers a top of the line processor for all of your action FPS games and wonderful graphics. The fact that the iPad Mini does not sacrifice any of the properties of the iPad that make it so great, but can still offer a slightly reduced size and price might make the new iPad Mini the most wanted tablet in the gaming world. Apple understands that launching an iPad Mini may sacrifice some of their iPad business, but they will more than make-up that lost revenue with the new business that they will acquire with the iPad Mini.

The iPad Mini is a great gaming device. It has many attributes that one looks for in a gaming device, and it is not quite as expensive as the full size iPad. Another bonus of investing in an iPad Mini as your gaming device is that you can use the cloud in order to store your programs or apps. This way when you do not have your iPad Mini for gaming you can access your same gaming apps on your iPhone. The cloud is becoming an amazing access point in the gaming world. It will soon make it possible for you to access your games through your computer, gaming console, Smartphone, and tablet. This is what makes the iPad Mini so easy, convenient, and perfect for gaming.
The iPad Mini has access to all of the gaming apps that are available through the Apple store. There are other options that are offered with a slightly smaller screen such as the Kindle or the Google tablet, and overall reviews state the Google and Kindle both have a better display installed on their tablets over the iPad Mini. It is true that it is very difficult to compete with the iPad with its gaming properties, but the iPad Mini will allow the same capabilities as the iPad.
The iPad Mini could be exactly what the gaming world has needed. It bridges the gap between the iPhone and the iPad.
The fact that the iPad Mini sold out in the first day that it was available just goes to prove that everyone was waiting for Apple to launch a major competitor to the currently available smaller tablets. It is just a matter of time to see if what the iPad Mini sacrifices in a display is worth it for the superior gaming capabilities.
